My work allows me to interact with different refugees who have come from different parts of the world. All of them have their own amazing stories and I try to understand their situations and help to develop the basic skills of English. As advocacy is one of the missions of the organization that I work in, I try to advocate about women and children. Consequently I try to provide awareness through different workshops regarding women issues such as Gender Based Violence (GBV), gender development, and conflict resolution. I also prepare English manuals within the African context so that when I teach the refugees they can easily understand and relate. I am so much interested in women’s issues and I would want to learn and work on women and children related areas so that I can help others and make the lives of refugees easier.
